"I am so happy I followed up a chance comment Apryl made on someone's post.
I have a quirky mare and was looking for local help from someone who was open to a holistic answer. Exploring how much was 'just a training issue' and how much was possibly pain, or a memory of pain.
I loved the answer Apryl gave this other person so got in touch and she came out for a 'trial run' with my mare. Which meant me delving into her history and which trainers she admired or followed.
I may be no where near the trainer Apryl is, but I have firm ideas about what I don't want in a trainer.
What a joy it was to find someone to work closely with whose ethos so closely resembles mine. After I had found my new riding partner I hit a hurdle and by just scrolling through Facebook I found Apryl from AJ Equine Ethical Horsemanship. What a relief it was to meet Apryl.
Apryl arrived with her quiet manner and soothing presence. At times I’m sure she is a horse whisperer.
Over the last 18 months of seeing Apryl once a month at my home and attending clinics I have managed to break the chatterbox in my head and I can see light at the end of the tunnel. I was armed with a toolbox of tricks and told I can do it.
Apryls years of experience and contacts in this realm really made it easy to get my mares body back on track.
Since meeting Apryl she has also worked with my young gelding setting him up for a positive future with him staying onsite having block sessions.
